cannot be a part of since I commited to Mt. Laurel Day above, and that is the Big

Brothers, Big Sisters Cycle and Walk for Kids Sake. Some of you are aware that

I am a "Big Sister", my little sister is 15 yrs old and her name is Melissa. This event

is one of the programs signature fundraising events. It's a great way to help kids in

Burlington County and have fun at the same time. Registration opens at 7:00 am to

11:00 am at the Masonic Home Picnic Grove, Oxmead Rd in Burlington Township, NJ.

Storage...Getting Organized

Over the next four months I am going to share with you the different stages of life which

offers an opportunity for re-evaluation of your belongings. The Four Stages of Life are

First Home, Family Home, Home Business and Empty Nest. This month I will focus on

First Home.

Your first home is usually on the small side, so already you have limited storage space.

Your first home could be when you get married or as a single person. Each brings with

it storage issues, when you are first married you are combining both of your belongings,

when you are single, usually mom and dad want you to take all your memoirs out of the

attic or basement so they have more room. Married couples need to pool their

possessions and dispose of duplicate items. Points to consider:
1. Built-in or fitted storage makes the most of small spaces, so put up shelves or build

cupboards 2. Hire off-site storage facilities for those items you might not be able to use

now, but may need later when you move to a bigger home.
3. Married couples or those living together, need to set up personal space for each other.
4. Avoid getting overwhelmed with too much stuff by straighting things up weekly so you

don't start to accumulate more than what you can handle.

Next week we will discuss the Family Home.

Tuna Noodle Casserole

Back when I was a kid we made this recipe. I honestly don't remember where it came

from, I think it may have been from a cooking class in Junior High School or it was

Mom's. Well, anyway it is pretty good.

Arrange in alternate layers in buttered casserole dish the following:
1/2 cup of tuna
1 cup medium white sauce (see below for recipe)
2 cups cooked noodles
Sprinkle 1/4 cup of grated cheese on top.

Medium White Sauce -
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan
Add 2 tablespoons flour
Remove from heat
Stir in gradually 1 cup milk.
Return to heat
Stir until thick and smooth
Add 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper Bake on 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Enjoy!
