Style Guidelines to Follow
Do you love the Vintage look but want a Modern style?
Many people struggle with this, Decorators/Designers call them Transitional. Follow the guidelines below.
1. Use restraint with the objects of your desire - A wall of collectible vases can be beautiful as long as the rest of the space is left for living. Just be careful not to make your home a museum.
2. Blend old and new - a well-positioned vintage object can soften a look, an antique chair with modern pieces can be a complement
3. Create a keynote - in every room, determine one thing that will draw attention and set the tone for that room. Wall of portraits? Period furniture?
4. Buy pieces with a purpose - can it serve multiple duties in various parts of your home
5. Don't fret - Style doesn't happen overnight, be patient.
Fried Sausage Recipe
In my experimenting I tried frying some Italian Sausage with asparagus and mushrooms in olive oil and boy did that taste good.
It doesn't matter if it is sweet, hot or Italian sausage, cut it up into 1 to 3 inch pieces, place in a frying pan with olive oil.
Add two to three cans of asparagus or two batches of fresh asparagus.
Add two cans of sliced mushrooms or one packaged of freshly sliced mushrooms.
(Make sure you drain the water in the cans before putting asparagus or mushrooms in the pan.)
Sprinkle with salt and pepper, as mush as you want.
Fry until the sausage is done. It should be brown on all sides and not red inside.
Place onto a plate and make sure you pour some of the hot olive oil on top of it. The olive oil flavored with the sausage, asparagus and mushrooms tastes so good.
Enjoy!
Our Trip to Hershey Park
Okay, what girl doesn't like peanut butter and chocolate? I was in my glory visiting Hershey last month. As you can see by the picture, I was buying my favorite candy in the world, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. UMMMMMMM!
My boyfriend George surprised me with a Thanksgiving Day Weekend trip to Hershey Park since I mentioned a few times in our relationship that I have never been there before. We had a really nice time enjoying the park and the beautiful Christmas light displays.
It's always nice to feel like a kid again. As I feed myself a Big Cup Peanut Butter Cup while completing this sentence. AHHHHH! Boy that is good.
I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Holiday Season.
Happy Holidays everyone and have a Happy, Healthy, Safe New year.
Sincerely,
Teresa Tocco
