Philadelphia Home Show
January 19-27, we exhibited at the Convention Center for the Philadelphia Home Show and I have to say this show was a great show.
We were entered in the "Best Green Products" contest, and my green products are the Natural Woven Shades I offer to my clients for their windows. You can read more about them below. Unfortunately, I did not win, but the shades were a success in peaking the interest of passer bys. It was great seeing some of you there and also meeting new people. We had nine winners of our raffle, they are as follows:

Green Products Available
In today's world we have become more and more environmentally cautious. As decorators we have a responsibility to introduce products to the consumers that are eco-friendly and hope that the products are used. The product that I have agreed to sell are the Natural Woven Shades, made of bamboos, grasses and other natural woods. There are over 140 patterns to choose from, they are kid friendly because they do not have stains or lacquers on them and they come in different shapes and sizes. You have a choice of several styles, edging, privacy or blackout linings and decorative valances. Some of them are very classy and hard to believe so beautiful. If you are interested in seeing our samples, and learning more, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Selecting Paint Colors
I am constantly approached to select paint colors for different rooms in a home. Keep in mind this tip; if you are looking to replace your furniture, I recommend you do so before picking a paint color. Same with window treatments, if you need new ones, have them made first before painting. When you shop for furniture, depending on where you buy items, you may not have a lot of choices in fabric, and you want to make sure the paint you select allows the sofa to pop out at you, same with the window treatments. Choosing the right paint color has a lot to do with what colors are currently dominant in the room and less dominant. Once determined then you can select your accent wall color or the color for the whole room.
Valentines Gift Idea
For all my male readers, you might want to consider a Gift Certificate for Valentines Day for your special lady who has been asking you to have a decorator help with your decorating challenges.
