Moorestown Day A Success

On June 2, we exhibited at the Moorestown Day Event. It was a beautiful, sunny, hot day and the crowd was much larger then last year, at which time it rained. I received some great leads and business from this event, so it was well worth dealing with the heat. It was great to see some familiar faces, so thanks for stopping by and saying hello, to those of you who did.
Where do I begin?

One of the first questions I am usually asked during my consultation is, "Where do I Begin? Do I start with the window treatments, or furniture or paint?"
The first way I respond to this question is by asking them if they intend on replacing their furniture. This is the key, because the furniture fabric sets the color palette for the whole room. What you have to keep in mind is when you go furniture shopping you have to use the fabric selection they provide so you are at times very limited, that's why it is important to start here since you don't always have an array of choices. Then if you need window treatments we select a design idea and then the fabrics, since I have access to an array of fabrics for windows, you are not limited in your choices, therefore allowing you to find something easily that will blend with the furniture. Next would be the carpet or area rug and then the paint. Too many times clients have started in the reverse order and found they could not make the room work with what they had in mind.
Garlic Bread Recipe

Everyone seems to make their garlic bread in different variations. Here is one variation that you might be familiar with or not.
1. Slice a loaf of Italian bread lengthwise and about halfway through, do not tear apart. Open up the bread.
2. Make garlic batter as follows:
Use two or three teaspoons of crushed garlic and mix with 3 or 4 ounces of olive oil or butter, add some oregano, salt and black pepper to suit taste.
3. Spread liberally in loaf and toast lightly in oven on 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
Be careful not to burn, but it does taste good a little crispy.

Enjoy your summer, but look for August's newsletter.
Stay Safe!

Sincerely,

Teresa Tocco
