The Summer months are here and now is a great time to start working on your interior decorating projects. With all the rain that we have been having I'm sure many of you worked on some cleaning projects to start eliminating those items you do not need anymore and are just about organized. Relooking at your space is the next step, whether it is redesigning the existing space or starting from scratch.
Before you know it the holidays will be here so if you plan on having a new look for the holidays, now is the time to begin. It is also a time to take advantage of the sales. Not to mention some discounts I can share with you.

Moorestown Day Event
This year was the 4th year I participated in the Moorestown Day Event. Luckily we had some beautiful weather and the day turned out to be a busy one.
The next event is Mount Laurel's Fall Festival at Laurel Acres Park on September 26, 2009 from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

Kitchen Storage Ideas
Are you one of those people that just doesn't seem to be able to have enough storage space in the kitchen? I know I have been and now I am looking forward to my new kitchen.
One of the first things to do is, if you have enough space, add a pantry, walk-ins are great. Or buy a swing-out pantry kit or pullout drawer unit to fit into one or more of your tall cabinets. If you have a lot of canned goods, buy extra shelves and set them can-height-plus-hand-clearance apart. Or purchase the can shelves that can be placed in a cabinet with lots of top space. These shelves come as three plastic shelves that look like miniature steps and they can easily be placed on existing shelves with space above. You can find them at the Container Store. They allow you to see the cans better so you don't have to move others constantly to get to the one you want.
For corner cabinets revolving carousels are good choices. Deep wire baskets or drawer inserts to store flatware, plates, spices and foil rolls helps in organizing items.
There are so many useful organizers and storage bins available today. If you are remodeling your kitchen you can easily order the cabinets with the bells and whistles providing your budget allows. Or you can improvise and purchase those items mentioned above to reorganize your existing cabinets.

I realize this last year has been challenging for everyone financially. We have all been afraid and rightfully so. However, based on what I am reading and hearing there is a light at the end of the tunnel and things do seem to be improving. I can't stress how much, how now is the time to move forward with things you have been contemplating doing. There are lots of bargains out there today and when you take advantage of those bargains you help the economy. Just a thought.
