Courier Post Article

Early June the Courier Post contacted and selected me to participate in an article as the professional Decorator providing interior decorating ideas to a young couple who purchased their first home together. The article was published on June 28, 2008 in the Home and Garden Section of the newspaper and online as well. The young couple was open to ideas and a lot of fun. We have already begun the process and you can check back in the Fall for updates through the Courier Post Home and Garden Section to see the final results.

Moorestown Day Event

On June 8, we exhibited at the Moorestown Day Event on Main St. It was a beautiful day and very busy. I had an opportunity to meet some of you and see some past clients. My puppy Reese visited with me for a little while before it became too hot and decided he wanted to hide under the table and play pick-a-boo with Mommy. Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to helping those that asked for some assistance with their projects.
Design NJ Magazine

A writer from the Design NJ Magazine contacted me and also asked me to participate in an article for their Oct/Nov issue. They have a column called Eye on Design in which they ask a number of experts the same question and then print their answers along with a photo that illustrates their point. I am looking forward to participating in that article as well. So keep your eyes posted in the Fall for their magazine. I am real flattered to have been approached by them and also anxious to read the final article.

Mt. Laurel Adult Community Education Program

Having been involved in Training and Development for large organizations in my past life, I decided to offer my services to the Mt. Laurel Adult Community Education Program. I offered to teach a four week course on Interior Decorating. They accepted and I am currently preparing the curriculum of classes which start on September 15. More information will become available as we get closer to the Fall. It would be great to see some of you in my classes, we will have a lot of fun.
Tuscany Style?

Of all the styles available today, Tuscany seems to be very popular. However, there are still some people not sure what a Tuscany style would look like, so I decided to give you a description of the Tuscan life. It has remained unchanged for centuries, values and standards persist in which they value using natural materials and traditional crafts. As you already know Italy is known as the home of craftsmen, such as cabinetmakers, ironworkers, painters, etc keeping a link to tradition. The colors used are ochers, umbers, warm reds all earth colors; the textiles are the most natural weaves; building materials are wood, iron, terracotta. Open plate cabinets, large dining tables, metal chandeliers are examples of their style. Along with marble, mosaic, rustic wood and tapestry. This style can be made to look worn and old or warm and elegant, depending on the investment in new reproductions or old antiques.

Thank you for taking the time to read my newsletters. I hope you continue to enjoy them.
See you in August.

Sincerely,

Teresa Tocco
