Wow, I can't believe it is June already. Two more months until my wedding. Time is sure moving quickly. I hope your projects are moving along as planned. I just want to fill you in on a few things this month.

BUYER/SELLER SEMINAR

Early May we held a Buyer/Seller Seminar for those individuals looking to buy or sell a home. McCollister's Transportation in Burlington, NJ sponsored the event by holding it at their facility. I partnered with several companies, like Remax of Cherry Hill, a mortgage broker, attorney, appraiser, home inspector and others. It was a success and we plan on holding one in the Fall as well. We each presented on a topic relating to our businesses. I spoke about Staging your Home to Sell and How to Plan an Interior Decorating project. I will keep you posted on the next one.
Harrison Township Day and Locke Ave Fun Day and Moorestown Day
On May 2 and 30th we exhibited at two separate events and each were successful. The weather was cooperative. Thanks for stopping by to those that did.
We are scheduled to exhibit in Moorestown, this Saturday, June 6 on Main Street for the annual Moorestown Day event. Hope to see you there. Please invite friends and family to visit my booth.

ACCEPTING CREDIT CARDS
In order to accomodate my clients, moving forward I have the capability of collecting payments using credit cards, via PayPal.
This service is only if you have signed a contract for a large project and do not want to use your cash for materials or my services.
The way it works is that we would sign a contract for my services, and I will then send you an invoice via PayPal to your email address and you just need to complete the information requested. It's that simple.
In the past I would need to collect your check for materials at time of contract to place orders, and a week before install or delivery and wait for it to clear, which can delay a project. This way we can move more quickly in placing orders.
Keep in mind, this service is not for Discovery Interviews, Idea Sessions or Personal Shopping appointments. They still require cash or check.
The PayPal service is for projects that require a contract to move forward involving many hours of service and large purchases of materials.

Kitchen Lighting
I would like to continue the article I wrote last month regarding kitchen remodeling. This month I wanted to focus on lighting.

In order to prepare or cook food, certain areas require good illumination.
Safety is of concern too, so don't forget corners.
Areas that need supplemental task lighting are over the stove top, above the countertops, at the sink and over breakfast bars and island units.
Some ideas are to add track lights over the sink, recessed down lights will also work there and over the stove top. Under cabinet lighting is good for countertops. One tip is to choose energy-efficient strips at least two-thirds the width of the cabinet and install in the back to cut down on glare. Install a pendant light over the bar or island. Recessed lighting is nice to provide ambient lighting for the whole room.
