Hello Everyone,
The change of weather always prompts people to start contemplating what projects to start. I know the economy has people concerned with how much should they spend. Keep in mind that now is the time to buy anything if you have the budget to do so. Many vendors are offering great discounts. Actually I think they are all bringing their prices down where they should be. An example of great buys is one I am experiencing personally. My fiance and I have been looking for a house for 4 yrs and spoke to a few builders. Four years ago the house we now purchased and are having built was out of our affordability. Now we are purchasing it for half of what the original cost was when we started looking. We can now have the house of our dreams.
I realize we are all concerned, but remember in order for the economy to heal we need to spend some money and why not spend it now when we have great prices available to us. Just think about it for now. Whether it is an outside or inside project, start browsing and see what kind of deals you can get. I couldn't ask for a better time to decorate my new home.

Types of Fireplaces Available Today
When I was growing up all I remember is a woodburning fireplace. Whether it was built-in to the wall or one that was the old metal/iron fireplaces with the long pipe extending to the ceiling.
Today, there are so many choices. But not many people are aware of what is available and how compact they can be, offering several choices for placement.
The top picture illustrates a fireplace and wine rack combination. What a great idea for in a kitchen or den or family room. It is a gas insert and highly efficient. You can turn your furnace down and heat only the room you are spending time in. They are available in oak and maple and can be stained in various colors. They can have a faux brick, titanium or rust finish. Every manufacturer offers different finishing choices.
The bottom picture is a combination of an entertainment unit and electric fireplace. Now you can avoid the "focal point" issue that many people have when they have a wood burning fireplace on one wall and the TV on another wall. They have to adjust their furniture layout to accomodate the challenge. Not with one of these. Both of your focal points are in front of you to enjoy.
I have been having more issues regarding fireplace additions and found that items like these can satisfy many challenges.

Harrison Township Day Event
This Saturday, May 2, 2009 from 10:00am to 5:00pm, Harrison Township is having their annual Harrison Township Day Event in the park off Rt 77. We will be exhibiting there again this year. Please stop by and bring the kids and enjoy a day of fun. Rain date is May 3rd.
