Happy Spring and Good Riddens Tax Day!

I'm sure many of you are happy that tax season is over. Hopefully most of you were lucky enough to get a refund.

Now we can focus on what we can and can not do to our yards and homes.
Spring time is a time for renewal, clean house, start fresh, rethink.

SPRING CLEANING
Doing a once-a-year spring cleaning of your house not only keeps it running efficiently, but can maintain the safety and security of your home. Utilize the following spring cleaning suggestions.
Replace filters in air conditioners if applicable or wash the magnetic ones
Clean filters above range or in heaters
Check smoke alarm batteries
Check roof for cracks or loose shingles
Clean gutters and downspouts
Check fire extinguisher
Clean out fireplace
Have chimney cleaned
Check exterior of home for cracks or water damage
Check sprinkler system and outside faucets
Check security of satellite dishes
Have garden tools sharpened
Clean and repair patio furniture
Check weather stripping on doors and windows
Refill or replace perishable items in your emergency kits including first aid supplies

DECORATING FOR SPRING

If you are the type of person that likes to change your decor every season, then these are a few things you need to keep in mind for the Spring.

Ways to refresh a room:
add fresh flowers
want to change the appearance of your sofa, use a slipcover
add colorful pillows to brighten up a room
change your bedspread
change your tablecloths, runners or placemats
place spring color candles on display
use a different set of plates
display bowls with colorful fruits in them
change bathroom towel display to more spring like colors

But keep in mind when doing this, that everything should still coordinate with the paint colors on your walls and the fabrics on your furniture. Think fresh and bright. Have fun!
COMMUNITY EVENTS
In May I will be exhibiting at the Harrison Township Day on Saturday, May 1st, 2010(Raindate - Sun., May 2nd) at the Ella Harris Park, 114 Bridgeton Pike, Mullica Hill, NJ from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Locke Ave Fun Day - Saturday, May 22, 2010 (Raindate - Sun, May 23, 2010)held at the Locke Avenue Park, 58 Locke Avenue, Woolwich Twp., NJ 08085 from 1:00pm to 4:pm

On June 5, 2010 I will be exhibiting at Moorestown Day, located on Main St in Moorestown, NJ from 9:00am to 3:00pm. (Rain or Shine)
