New Benjamin Moore Paints
Benjamin Moore Paints recently introduced their new color collection, Affinity Colors.
The newest collection is the Affinity Colors - Aura paint. Affinity is the color collection for the Senses, they capture the subtleties of light and provides a tactile smoothness. Affinity colors are 144 cultivated hues that seamlessly harmonize with one another, they were created to be used expressly with Benjamin Moores Aura paint which is the only paint on the market to offer their proprietary ColorLock technology, which is essential to revealing the richness, depth and balance of Affinity colors.
Aura paint offers superior film durability, adhesion, and water resistance, allowing the freedom to use any sheen, anywhere with no disparity in cleaning or durability properties.
Eco-friendly, waterborne Aura is the smart choice for environmentally conscious consumers, providing unparalleled color without compromise.
ColorLock technology distinguishes Aura from virtually every other paint on the market. Color pigments are microscopically bonded to dry paint film permanently locking in color for richer more enticing hues and a new standard in durability.
ColorLock is a four-part system that elevates the performance of 100% acrylic paint to exciting, breakthrough levels. A proprietary 100% Acrylic Hybrid Resin system gives Aura paint resistance to water sensitivity and color rub-off which keeps that just painted look even after repeated washings. Special coalescing agents optimally balance open time and dry time, allowing incredibly smooth application, seamless touch ups, and re-coats that can begin within one hour of application.
Custom thickeners give Aura exceptional flow and leveling properites along with enhanced film build, for superior coverage for even the deepest shades. Exclusive waterborne-based formulation, using waterborne colorants, results in an ultra premium coating that offers low VOC's.
If you are interested in having a paint consultation, I can show you this collection along with their Color Pulse 2008 and 2009 collections. I offer other paint brands as well as Benjamin Moore.

Storage...Getting Organized, Final Chapter
Over the last three months I shared with you three of the Four Stages of Life. We started with "First Home" then "Family Home" and "Home Business". This month is the final chapter on the fourth stage, "Empty Nest".
For those of you that have children in your lifetime, you will experience this stage. This is when the home begins to empty, in which your children have grown and leave home. Divorce and bereavement can also begin the Empty Nest stage as well.
This stage is the natural time for reassessment and how you utilize your space. This is a time to look to the future with a positive light instead of lingering over memories when the children were young. However, keep in mind that there is a boomerang effect with college children, they usually come back home for a short period of time or longer so possessions shuttle back and forth.
To complicate things further, the death of parents and the need to decide which of their possessions to add to your collection.
Here are some points to consider for the different scenarios:
1. Check with colleges on storage arrangments, where boxes and bulky items can be left over the vacations.
2. If your children have left home for good, insist they take all their possessions, if they have mementoes but no room for them in their new space suggest they rent a storage facility.
3. In terms of furniture and belongings of your deceased love ones, think about whether you will really give the pieces space in your home before accepting it permanently. Share photographs with family members.
4. Rethink the way you use your home once a bedroom or two has become available. Now is a good time to make changes to your space planning.
This information has been provided by the book, "Storage Get Organized".
Disney World
In October my boyfriend and I attended a convention in Hollywood, Florida, afterwards we hopped on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and road down to Key West and then up to Orlando to visit Disney World. Many mishaps occurred on this trip, such as my beautiful white raincoat got green dye all over it from a wet suitcase, my new pants got blue dye on it from a restaurant napkin, I seriously sprained my thumb playing beach volleyball, and we got rained on riding from Key West to Orlando on the motorcycle.
However, we really had a great time and enjoyed every minute of the trip. It makes for good storytelling.
All in all, my coat and pants were successfully cleaned by the hotel, my thumb is not broken and healing very nicely and we didn't get sick from being in the rain for 6 hours.
We visited Epcot and Magic Kingdom and became kids allover again. But I do need a vacation from my vacation.
I hope you enjoyed the articles this month. Mark your calendars for January 19-27th, we will be exhibiting at the Philadelphia Home Show at the Convention Center in Center City.
Sincerely,
Teresa Tocco
