Mahi Mahi Fruit Sauce Recipe
Time and again I like to experiment and throw a few ingredients together and see how it turns out. Sometimes I get lucky and it is well recieved, other times not so lucky. But it's fun regardless if it tastes good or not. Well this is one of my lucky times. If you like seafood, especially Mahi-Mahi try this sauce. In a separate bowl pour just the pineapple juice from the can of chunk pineapple and the madarin orange juice from the can the furit came in. Stir together and then marinate the mahi-mahi in it for 15 minutes. Do not include the pineapples or oranges at this time, just let the fish marinate in the juices. In a separate bowl, take 2 teaspoons of bitter-sweet orange marmalade preserve, 1/2 cup of madarin oranges and 3/4 cup of chunk pineapples, plus 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Using a fork, press firmly and mix ingredients together. This presses the juice out of the oranges and pineapple. Once the fish has marinated, grill it for 7 minutes on both sides or until done. Once cooked, place on plate and take the marmalade mixture with the fruit and spread all over the mahi-mahi. Serve with pole lima beans and rice on the side and you have a tastey dinner.

Moire Fabric
One type of fabric most people ask me to explain to them is Moire (French mouaire). It is in the silk family and has been known to be made with mohair. At present it is Silk or MF filament (acetate, polyester, nylon, rayon), may have cotton. It has a wavy pattern in the fabric like woodgrain or a watermark in paper, it is also called watered silk. It is traditionally produced by pressing together two layers of cross-rib fabric; the ribs are not exactly aligned and so flatten each other at random, creating the pattern. The moire will be durable if a thermoplastic fiber is used, pressed with heat. Moire may also be woven in embossed, or printed on, or made visible by layering sheer, balanced plain weave fabrics like organdy or voile. Information comes from the book, "Fabric Glossary" by Mary Humphries.
