Courier Post Follow-Up Article
If you remember back in June I was approached by the Courier Post to provide Decorating Ideas to a young couple who recently purchased a new home. Over the summer we were busy completing the family room and we are still working on the kitchen. The picture above offers one angle of the completed family room. To see the article and read the clients blogs, click on the link below. Stay tuned for Septembers follow-up article expected to be released around Sept 20 or 21st in the Home and Garden Section of the Courier Post. I will keep you posted on the exact date.

Then on September 20th I will be at the Mt. Laurel Day Event at Laurel Acres Park and on September 21, at the Moorestown Family Fun Day held at Strawbridge Lake. Please stop by and say hello. Design NJ Article
This Fall, the October/November Issue of Design NJ will be featuring a story called, "Eye on Design". In this article they ask a number of experts the same question and then print their answers along with a photo illustrating their point. I was approached to participate in the article and my piece focuses on the redesign of a basement and how to best utilize the space for different functions. Hopefully you can purchase a copy.
Kitchen Safety Tips
One of the issues most people neglect when planning to redo their kitchen is kitchen safety. There are more hazards found in the kitchen then any other room. Here is a list of things to keep in mind:
1. Plan adequate lighting for all times of the day, be aware of potential dark spots such as corners under cupboards. Either install good lighting or use these dark areas for microwaves or TV's.
2. When planning electric outlets, be sure to install enough sockets so you do not overload them.
3. When considering possible flooring materials, take into account how slippery they might be when wet, be prepared to mop spills immediately.
4. Make sure electrical, plumbing and ventilation ducts, pipes and cables are easy to access for repairs and servicing.
5. If you are planning fabric drapes and other flammable materials including plants, locate them with care, keep away from the stove top.
Just some helpful tips.
I will be back in November with the last newsletter for the year, returning in January 2009.
Enjoy the Fall Foliage and weather.
Sincerely,
Teresa Tocco
