About Teresa

Every one has a dream; it's up to the individual to make the dream come true.

I, Teresa Tocco-Davenport, Founder and President of Absolute Living Today, LLC had a dream, to own my own business.

I have been in the business world since I was 17 years old, I went on to college and acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and then many years later, I decided to take the business knowledge, education and skills I acquired through the years and mix them with the craft I enjoy, decorating.

I made a promise to myself that at some point in time I would decide to switch gears and go back to school. So at 40 yrs old, I decided to pursue a new direction for myself and enrolled in an Interior Decorating curriculum consisting of 18 courses through the Professional Career Development Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. I completed and passed with flying colors. I joined the Certified Interior Decorator International, Inc. organization, completed an exam for certification, and passed the exam, allowing me to have the designation C.I.D. next to my name.

Having been a Director of Training for a few different industries, I decided to dedicate all the long hours I gave them to my own business, but first I had to acquire some experience. I did so by working as a Design Consultant for a large firm and was responsible for assisting the customer in the furniture, finish, fabric, window treatment and accessory selection process. The experience and confidence gained through the time spent there was rewarding. In my first few months I established great customer relationships providing repeat and referral business.

Since I opened my company in April of 2005, at the age of 42, I have been seen and featured three times in the Courier Post Newspaper, and quoted in the Design NJ Magazine twice and on January 17, 2009 I was on a Channel 6 ABC Special sharing my interior decorating knowledge on eco-friendly products.

Today I still own Absolute Living Today, LLC and enjoy the pleasures of decorating your homes and businesses. The best reward is when my clients tell me they love what I did to their homes.
